    It looks trick,do not like working with it tho.
    Top and bottom caps are CF,some jade recon, some ebony.

    Bill did that carbon fiber start as a tube layup? Just wondering how it behaves as you cut through layers.

    Came as 1/4in.sheet.Have not worked with it before.all was laid up, glued and doweled.
    The CF is called aircraft Quality (whatever that means) even using carbide tools it is really tough stuff,took out my bandsaw blade in a heartbeat lots of sparks when cut.
    When turning it really do's not cut,it sorts of powders off, sands and polishes well.Like the look but will not be doing any more.

    I know stuff like this was mentioned here and there before - and I do not want to overstep my bounds, so most respectfully, are you wearing a mask when turning that stuff? I am willing to bet that it will tear up your lungs rather quickly.
