    Default Finished 2 aluminum brushes today.

    Finished 2 aluminum brushes with copper endcaps today. I'm keeping one this time. The other one i will give away in some sort of contest. .
    Both got TGN Grade A Silvertips 24mm knots.
    Both around 65mm tall + 50mm loft
    Waight around 110g


    Both Positiv and negative Comments are welcome

    Are you cutting the copper with a lathe Bit? copper is a PITA to turn as it is sticky as hell as you may well know.
    Soft copper (Ductile Copper) can be embossed with smooth hard steel (spun)

    ah. i cut the copper rod in a metalsaw that cuts slow with water running on the blade.
    in the lathe i only do the flatning and cutting the design. when i lathe both copper and aluminum i use 95% industrial alcohol to cool down both the cutting tool and the piece beeing turned.
