Default An interesting piece of less than accurate

I had not thought of looking on etsy until I typed my prior post. I just went over there and looked around. First think I notice is that there are many, many, many brushes selling for less than the lowest price I can find for any knot--boar, badger, or nylon. Any insights on how that works?

I ran across the following. Note the description in the panel, then the description in the longer text below. Accident? Slip? or something else?

i know that you can get knots in bulk pretty cheap on ebay from china though it does seem that hes practically giving the brush away. not sure what you're seeing in the description that is different from the text. guess i'm not that observant.

Is there a possibility that he makes his own knots? And out of my own ignorance-How would one go about doing that?

Back to the OP, it looks as thought they are quality pieces and has great reviews apart from the length of time it takes to ship some of his other workpieces.

The box where you click the 'buy' button says 'silvertip badger'. The text down below says 'silvertip boar'.

The 3rd paragraph of DETAILS where it talks about the brush making process says “This beautiful Cocobolo silver tipped boars hair shaving brush has been hand made by myself”
Not that there is anything wrong with boar. Some of my favorite brushes are boar, great for lathering off a puck and or face lathering.

I have made purchases from Etsey and you can get some great deals there, often artisans just starting out and selling products for their cost to learn the craft or make a name.

It is a nice looing brush with a small 20mm knot. Might be a nice brush.

For the same money you can buy a great Semoque, Boar brush that is guaranteed to please and will last a lifetime.
