As I Said in post #6 waste is a major factor,This is a 5x.750 dowel I am making for a custom pool que maker.
Start out with a pound of Ivory to get a 4 oz. finished product
Brush handles create far more waste,to make a large brush Like a Simpson PJ 3 or a big polo, you start with 2 lbs of material.
