Thanked: 284The "SRP 45"
Thought I'd share this project with you-
This started out as a re-knot of an old travel brush set. Long story short, when trying to remove the old knot, the brush slipped and caught my cutter.
Instead of trying to salvage it I thought why not try to turn a new one so I can get some time on my lathe. I had a bar of brass stock and just started turning and seeing what it came up with
I thought it sorta started looking like a pistol round, and just finished it off that way. Turned down a piece of stainless for the primer and set that in with my press. Could have made a tighter fit, but the epoxy will keep it in there. Stamped the bottom and ready to glue!
This was a ton of fun.Last edited by RoyalCake; 04-12-2014 at 09:58 PM.
