Thread: Loft height

I have a 24 mm handle.. I scuttle/ face lather.. I have silvertips one synthetic and two band.. I wanna try something different.. Any suggestions and loft heights..? Black badger.. The only brush I dislike is the synthetic brush .. But only used it once lol..

I like them on the stiffer side, but I think I went too far with one I just posted. I set it at about 40 mm which was too short. Did another last night and set it at 45 mm which seems just right. They were both 24 mm knots. Maybe some experts will weigh in

Not an expert by far, but I usually set mine at around 50-55mm loft. It seems a lot set them closer to 50mm or tad under
I'm not a fan of Black badger, scratchy....I like finest badger, stiff like boar, soft like badger

For what it's worth, one of my favorites is a 22mm TGN black badger set at 47mm. I scuttle and face lather.
