    Speaking of gun stocks... I used tru-oil gunstock finish on the maple brush. Figured if it would keep a hunting rifle good it should work for a brush.

    Tru-oil is great stuff.Is linseed with a dryer in the mixture.Only problem with it if used on light colored woods it will yellow it.

    A better solution can be made using windsor & Newton Refined Linseed (artist supply stores) Is clear in color.
    Cut it 33% with Lighter Fluid (Naptha) and you have tru-oil.
