    Default De-handle

For those that saw my thread on the Father's Day chubby, you know I set the knot too low on the first brush I made.
I hated to see a good knot go to waste so I attempted to remove it.
First I turned down what I could as far as I could read, till the wood was like paper.
I then basically quartered the rest with a hand saw and popped it off. To my surprise the epoxy was pretty brittle and came off fairly clean. There are still remnants of some think wood on the base but I'll leave instead of pulling hairs out. That'll be down in the bore of the new brush.

Anyway thought I'd share - I didn't have high hopes, but this one seemed to work ok.
