You're gaining an international following now, Ray! Those copper/caramel swirl ones are just gorgeous. It's amazing how great those heavy metal brushes feel once you get used to the weight.

I currently have a Parker LGPB Pure Badger with a 24mm knot and 63mm loft and I'm thinking it is just a tad to tall.
I have heard of people banding the bottom of the bristles, directly above the handle, to shorten loft, it might be an idea, just to see what you like, i am not sure that longterm it would be great, but for experementing it should be fine.

Ed, I agree. A band above the knot base would probably serve as a moisture trap. JMO. I think I would look for another solution.

My first home made brush had a separate ring below the ferrule to adjust the loft by sliding. It has not moved in four years. And yes, it is a trap!

I agree about the bands. Mine however are not bands but a billet end. No diffwerent than having a normal socket for the knot, except its in metal and not the wood or acrylic!
