Two I made today. Cocobolo, and the other is black palm with unknown extremely hard wood.
used a skew and parting tool only but that is prettymuch all I use ....
finished them with Danish oil. I have a few more coats to add and
then a good buff/polish.CHRIS

Thanked: 375Knocked a third one out this evening.
Antler/cocobolo, 24mm finest.
Spent a couple hours on this one. Several coats of CA, sanding recoating...
I hand to fill the mandrel hole because antler just wouldn't hold.
Filled it with antler shavings and a couple drops of CA and it held like a champ. Made sanding a lot easier LOLCHRIS
