    Is synthetic John,Used make alot of them out of Russian sable,those that use them prefure the syns,cannot get the sable knots anymore.

    That should make any serious makeup person very happy.

    Is the syn ultra fine like sable?

    They feel about the same to me.My wife sells these things at the craft shows she go's to.
    The only ones that sell are the syns.

    Funny, some of the large Sables and other old cosmetic brushes make great travel shave brushes!

    It is very nice. I got a synthetic knot once and put it in a stubby handle. Did not like it one bit, but it was super-soft.
    Gave it to the wife for makeup use. She loves it. Won't say so, but uses it every day!
