Thread: Chubby Boar

A simple brush, turned to replicate a Simpson Chubby. maybe the first of its kind with the boar knot, but maybe not. Spalted maple came from my friends wood pile. The knot is a TGN Boar.

Thats just made me smile. Very nice work. Put a simpson sticker on it and no one would ever know.

Can we name it 'Cutie Pie'? Or maybe 'Rub-a-Dub Chub'?

Very nice, I like the style.

Spot on, I love the spalted maple handle. Does it turn ok? I have some spalted beech knife scales that unfortunately split on me.

It's like turning hard foam. Chunks want to tear out instead of cut. Sharp tools is key and leave extra material and sand the extra away with coarser grit.

The guys can name the brush anything they want....You hit another one out of the park !
