I read a post somewhere about different brush manufacturers. The gist of the post was that there were 4 or 5 major manufacturers of vintage brushes, all out of New York(I think). The thread stated that these 4 or 5 manufacurers made all of the US brush models, just with different labels/brand names.
This got me thinking about the vintage Peerless that I re knotted recently.



It looks a lot like some of the Ever Ready's I've seen.
Does anyone know where I can find more about the history of the old brushes? Does anyone have any information on Peerless?
I would really enjoy any and all information I could be pointed to re the old, vintage manufacturers.
