Thanked: 2284Darth Maul brush
I've been waiting for a while now for some more material to come in to start some other brushes, so I've been farting around trying some new things. This is something I came up with while reading about pipe making.
The wood is Maple burl and African blackwood. As you can see, I stayed true to my typical gluing techniques. Lol.
Sanded to 400 grit and applied a black aniline dye
sanded again with 400 and applied red aniline dye. Sanded up to 1000 and didn't like what I had. I applied more red aniline and left it without sanding.
Then, a lot of CA and voila! TGN 28mm finest 2 band knot.

Great job! Beautiful wood and I love the color.
I was kinda hoping for a double-knotted brush.

Beautiful brush Andrew, I wouldn't mind that myself with a nice fan shaped knot 26mm loft 48mm would be my preference.

I'm not a fan of the shape... but the grain, color and finish on that wood is amazing. Good Job!
