    Default Second turned badger brush

    Evening gents.
Just finished my second turning. Used walnut, Irish blackthorn and some mottled ash for this one.

Drilled and turned some 20mm holes and dowels in the respective pieces to ensure everything stayed together, and I built two so I can make a second one down the road.

Just finished setting the knot,, deeper this time. Andrews see through acrylic handles allowed me to see how deep others go. So I copied, hehe.
Turned out ok, now I need to soak it a d wait for it to bloom.
    Cheers.

52mm is about the "normal" height for a knot.
    Give or take....

Never sure what woods work with what being such a newb to all this sawdust making mischief.
My father in law said wood goes with wood. Miss his simple summations of things. He was in the business his entire life and made a comfortable living at it so I figure I can't go wrong as long as I pay heed to whatever grain I see.
Was fun to make, and I'm learning with each turning. I need to order bigger knots I think to do these larger handles justice.
