    Default Couple of brushes Today

Took a little time away from the Razor bench, and moved over to the Lathe/Brush bench...

Turned the Sea-Mist acrylic today, I never claim to be any good at turning in fact I always say I am passable on a lathe.. As long as the design isn't too complicated I do alright... I however am pretty darn good at polishing hehehe, I love this acrylic but I hate taking pics of it, I can never quite capture the depth and 3D effect of the colors..

    Body: Sea-Mist Acrylic
    OAL: 126mm
Knot: 26mm Super Premium Silvertip Badger
    Loft: 52mm

The Elk Antler is actually easier for me to do, I am just more comfortable when I am using tools other then a Lathe

    Body: Rocky Mtn Elk Antler
    OAL: 115mm
    Knot: Silvertip Badger
    Loft: 51mm

I have had one of your antlers in the rotation constantly for 4 years now & it's as nice as day one.

Really like the look of that acrylic, but I am loving the antler brush. The malachite cap on the bottom just makes it. Awesome stuff Glenn !

I know what Yer saying about the acrylic. Tool grabs, backs up on you, shoots fine particles in your face and before you know it you barely have any material left trying to fix the mistakes. Sometimes basic shapes are the best, it allows the beauty of the material to shine through. Love both brushes! Nice work!

Yeah. The antler for me too! A thought. What about some forced patina on the chamfer at the top? Stain, coffee, tea?
    Both look great.

    +1 to all the above.
Great work on both. I too love the natural brush a skosh better. The curve and the cap really set it off.
    Nice work..
