Completely of topic and then again....
Well. I live in a house with a beautiful woman and two teenager girls. One day my oldest daughter asked if she could use my shaving brush for makeup. Finding out she already tried it with something called foundation, I began to cry.
24mm Pure Silvertip Badger, custom made brush in Thuja wood.
Well after intense cleaning of the brush I decided to avoid any further catastrophe.
That let to the creation of the Custom made makeup brush!
I think the problem have been solved. They are made of micarta and purple hart wood.

Very nice work!!
I have made a few of the larger squirrel/ fox/ sable make-up brushes purchased from a beauty supply store into travel shaving brushes. They are great as a shave brush and the size is a good replacement for older handle re-knots. Being hair, they do swell but a strong ferrule makes that a non-starter.
Again, A very nice job of work!

What did you use for knots, BTW? It seems to me I saw some sable knots on the old Arizona Silhouette site, but I'm not sure if they're available from anyone anymore.
