Plisson Metal Cup Depth?
Hello All!
I just have a quick question that I could not answer by searching. I have a Plisson Pour L'Occitane brush and love the knot. Unfortunately, the "wooden" handle has begun to bubble up around the metal cup. I have seen threads where people cut away the handle from the metal cup, and place the knot into a higher quality handle. I would like to have a crack at it, but wanted to order the handle prior to taking the brush out of commission.
Does anyone happen to know the dimensions of the metal cup that the knot sits in? I have measured the diameter at ~22mm, but really need the depth. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

So I went ahead and cut my Plisson handle apart to get the dimensions since they do not appear to be widely known. Upon removing the knot, I measured the diameter of the portion below the lip to be 23mm and the depth from the bottom of the lip to be ~12.5mm.
I found a 24mm horse hair brush with a handle type I was looking for on the bay for 13 bucks. I steamed the knot out and got rid of the rest of the epoxy. In doing so I damaged the finish of the handle (of course), which required extensive sanding and polishing to remove. Once that was finished I secured the knot with a little AquaMend, and the brush was ready to rock again. It turned out nicely in my opinion. I missed it and can't wait to use it tonight.
Next to my Whipped Dog Synthetic (another great brush that has been holding me over since tearing the Plisson apart two weeks ago)
Hope this helps anyone else contemplating a transplant.
