Thanked: 2284Butterscotch Beufort B6 clone
This one is a more traditional style handle. Based on the Simpson Beufort B6 handle style. This material is the closest thing I can find to replicate the old butterscotch style handles. I'm not going to lie, this material was a pain to work. It was soft and very brittle, and the tool was catching a lot. It did sand really great though. Anyone else ever tried turning this stuff??? It's from The golden nib.
The knot is a 24mm TGN synthetic. The knot in the pics is not glued in and was just placed in for staging purposes. It will be getting set to 48mm.
Thanks for looking fellas!!

Thanked: 170I turned a piece of that some time back - had the same experience you did. Had the same with the polyester I caste later. Haven't done any for over a year.

Thanked: 2284Skip, PM me your address and I'll give you some acrylic to try. It's easier than the polyester.
