Hate the brush - Love the handle. Never done this before.
Horsehair, apparently, is not my bag. After a minute in the vice out popped the knot neat and complete with metal retainer band - nail protruding from the base of the handle, totally clean of glue.
So, brush guys, I am on the hunt for some power-badger or nice boar bristle. What do I measure as far as diameter and from what point is length measured? How is density measured? And from whence come replacement knots?
I await your kind direction. Favorite brushes? Semogue 1305 (perfectly soft and a great size) and an Omega 10049 (perfectly stiff and almost too big).

Retaining ring on the knot is 20mm;
bore in handle is 21.5mm;

The knots I have are 60mm tall but you can make the higher if you wish with a spacer,Pennys work well.
