Thanks Bill. I think they are worth their money in gold but I guess I said it wrong. I won't delete it though. You see others but I have just tried a couple & you get what ya pay for. I just sometimes can't get the right words out but that's the classic me!
My bad. Open mouth & insert foot!Last edited by engine46; 06-28-2015 at 08:48 PM.

Thanked: 2027I used to make custom brushs for resale, been at it for about ten yrs,The hair simpson uses is the same hair that you can get from TGN.
The advantage that simpson has is they can put a knot in an extruded cheap plastic handle that cost maybe $1.00.
You cannot spend a day making a custom brush and pay what simpson used to charge for a knot and expect to be able to sell them.CAUTION

They're the only ones I'll buy now no matter the cost. I want quality not cheaply priced! Like I said, ya get what ya pay for. I am the kind of person that will pay a little more for quality. Just like my tools of my last profession, I bought Snap On tools as opposed to Craftsman. I was making more at the time & when you are turning wrenches on expensive machines, you don't want to break a simple torx socket, slip & put a scratch down the side of an expensive chrome outer primary cover on a Harley which is what I saw other's do from buying cheaper tools. I'm not saying Craftsman is bad either but there is more quality in Snap On & they cost more but are worth it. I only used that as an example.
I bought a couple of brush knots from a different vendor & I got what I paid for. I refuse to sell them but rather use them myself. They are badger hair but the one I use most has had a few hairs fall out of it. I'll replace them when I can. I hope to get some TGN knots soon.
