Thanked: 420625mm silvertip in African Ebony.
Good morning gents. Spent some of the rainy weekend working on the below. On HarryWally's recommendation I ordered some bigger knots in the silvertip variety for my next round of brushes and they really are significantly nicer than best badger hairs. Guess that's why the price doubles for the knots. Tried to make one in a classic style that had a nice feel to it.
I used the same ebony as I am using for my 7 day set of Non Xll's and this will probably end up as part of that set. Used a CA finish on this as opposed to the shellawax cream for water resistance.
Here she is post soaking and after she started to bloom out.
I'm happy with the results, and like the feel of the brush. Good backbone and yet still softer tips than any others I own.

Thanked: 2284Now that's pretty wood Mike, and also a great looking brush. Those knots are a little more expensive but worth it. I love my 26mm Grade A.
Can't wait to see what you do with that green acrylic!Burls, Girls, and all things that Swirl....

Thanked: 4206Thanks gents. Appreciate the feedback.
Andrew, you were a big help in realising how deep was the right deep for setting them, so thanks for that.
Still working on my ideas for the acrylic chunk.
John, not to ruin it for ya, but I'm going to use this custom, not save it under glass. hehehe.
