Finished this one up the other day, the material is called Deep sea and burl combination. 2.5" tall

I can't remember the last time that I saw anything done in blue, my favorite color.
Throw in the burl and a 2 band silvertip knot and you have one drop dead gorgeous brush!!

It's called Shokwood or resin wood.
They fill a burl cavity with resin and let it harden/cure.

Thanked: 2284He uses a product called Alumilite. It's a resin that they add pearlescents, dyes, pigments to. You can cast straight up blocks of resin, or in this case, pour it over useless burl caps and turn them into something useful. Chris is right though, Beyond wood products has some killer blanks.
