Default Modern take on a classic shape.

I haven't made any brushes in about a month due to being very busy with my family. Was in Bancroft and Algonquin park, up north here in Canada for some nice vacations. My wife and 2 little girls keep me very busy, but I wouldn't have it any other way. We sure do have a lot of fun.

Decided I better get back on the lathe and get some brushes done. This one has a big 28mm 2 band with a loft of 53mm. Really like the way this one came out.

    Thanks for looking Gentleman!

Nicely done! 28mm knot? The handle looks deceptivily small for a knot that size. I don't have anything over 24mm in my rotation. Do you think it's a must try/have size? seems like a lot of people like 24mm and 28mm.

Wow, this is a very elegant brush! I use the same scientific index for razors and brushes: on a scale of 1 to 5 (5 being a near manic desire to hold, 1 being I'd hold it, but with arm extended), this brush is definitely a 5. Thanks for the process pics.

I too like the 24mm Chris. I hardly ever do full shaves because of my full beard. I usually just do my neck and I find a smaller brush suits this better. That being said, I think you should try a bigger brush, you never know, you might like it. I have a 26mm that I also love, and a 30 that gets used on occasion.

Yep, it's a HARRYWALLY! If I was a four year old and saw this brush I would throw a tantrum, cry and scream about it. But being of the age I am I can only internalize - pardon me while I go to my padded wall room.

Well done as usual, congrats. Good to see you didn't loose your touch from the layoff. Now back to the grindstone svp, many are waiting for your next creation.

You know, only a southerner would call going to Algonquin Park as up north. Come on up to our end of the province to see northern Ontario.

Ha! It's true Bob. Your probably one of our furthest Northern members on the forum. My cousin lives in Thunder Bay. Maybe some day I'll head up there and make make pit stop at your place!

You are more than welcome to any time you are up this way. It would be my pleasure.
