Default Source for Plisson fibre knots?

    Hi, gentlemen!
I have read in a couple of places something like, "The source for the Plisson fibres has been discovered, so now many brushmakers are using them more", or something to that effect.
Can anyone tell me where Plisson fibre synthetic knots can be sourced?

To my knowledge from the brush itself. There are other great synthetic knots available if you are interested in variety.

I didn't know the Plisson Synthetics were the cat's meow in this variety of material. However I would be skeptical like so many other items that are trade secrets and some folks claim to have duplicated or discovered the source.

    Bring on the proof.

In reality, all syn knots are plastic fibers,I cannot see how one makers syn knots would be any better than another.
Badger hair in the other hand is a diff story.

Depending how the knot is constructed some will splay a lot some will have springiness that is supposed to imitate backbone.
Plisson splays like a mop, can't get why would someone like that but different strokes for different folks as they say.
By the way until about two months ago, Plisson was pronounced "Brush of the Gods", and now that there are other synthetic knots all of a sudden it is no longer even talked about.

When I started in this thing Plisson was talked about in hushed circles as the most expensive brush out there and their hair was better than anything else.

True you don't see it discussed much but I think that's because the company changed hands and their focus has changed.

I'm okay with that as long as the android hairs are humanely harvested under sedation like they are with other badgers.
