Thanked: 2284Magenta Shavemac
Just wrapped this one up late last night. I must have been in an awful trance, I forgot to cut in a detail at the top of the brush the owner specifically asked me to do. I glued in the knot as well last night at 1:00 in the morning, woke up this mornin and the first thing I realized was my mistake..... Now what am I going to do..... A lot of masking tape, and a lot of patience and I was able to get it the profile cut in.
This was this morning when I realized I forgot to cut in a profile at the top.
Tryed chucking it like this first, but just couldn't get a good purchase.
This way turned out to work well.
Sorry for the sideways pics fellas. My online editing software has to many users at the moment... Weird.Last edited by HARRYWALLY; 03-05-2016 at 05:02 PM.

I love the shape of that.
It was worth the extra time and effort...trance or not!

Looks great Andrew and those Shavemac Silvertip two band knots are outstanding.

Thanked: 2284I held these up to my 24mm Thater, and the knots are identical. My Thater brush is fantastic, I love the backbone it has. The only thing I don't like about Thater, and I'm thinking you'll agree, they set the loft too high. But, to each their own, I'm sure some love that higher loft. I'd like to compare this same Shavemac knot with a Simpson Manchurian. I bet they would be similar as well.

Andrew you are so right I sold my Thater 4521/2 26mm fan shape knot with a 50mm loft for that very reason, it could have easily been the perfect brush If Thater like Shavemac let you set your own loft height, If I could have the Thater with a 48mm loft it would have been perefect.
