2nd brush attempt in walnut and pewter
here's my second attempt.some thrift store pewter and some walnut i've had lying around a while. took some trial and error but i got it close to the way i wanted it. sometimes one has to settle for good enough. bought a new lathe in the process (hopefully better than the $2 one i used for the last one) so hopefully the next one will go smoother. part of the fun/challenge(and frustration) is making do with what i have. once i figure out what i'm doing i'll share some "how to" photos.

Thanked: 2284Lovely work! You've really sparked my interest in getting some pewter from the thrift store. You've really made it look good.

That looks great! I am thinking of doing some ferrule ends on my brushes as an accent. Just have yet to do so. But may definitely do it to change up the looks of wood.
