Reporting for Duty
Raised as a Navy brat I thought I’d make a shave brush for my dad. He’s long retired and spend 22 years in the Navy but he wasn’t willing to change his shave habit. My brother is also a vet (Captain, Ret. USN ), so I made one for him. I liked how it turned out so I decided to make a series of brushes for all branches of the military.
I’ll post up the Air Force and Coast Guard as soon as those one are complete.
Thanks for viewing. And to the vets: Thank you for your service!
African Blackwood, Yellow Heart, Brass with Acrylic inlay
The base on all of these is a American Holly inlay that provides a white background for the decal. Finished in several coats of CA
USMC: Bloodwood, African Blackwood, Aluminum and Yellow Heart Inlay.
This one is a banded boars hair knot
US Army: Ziricote, Yellow Heart, Brass and Yellow Heart inlay.
I went with Ziricote for this one; it looks like camouflage

Absolutely stunning! I have been toying with the same idea but one for our Gideon's and our local camp! You just gave me the incentive to do it!
