Another Shavemac to add to the collection.
Well this wonderful looking brush arrived today one of the ATG UK forum brushes, the brush as a custom unique knot created by Bernd of Shavemac especially for the forum it's quite simliar to the two band Silvertip only with a bit more density and whiter tips, the knot which is a 26mm with a 50mm loft with a Gold & Bronze Acrylester handle I think Bernd as done a exceptional job on all the brushes which were offered with three diferent handle types and also several different knot options and there were enough colour options to please even the most difficult of customers, I got to say it when Avnish puts a group buy together he really does push the boat out.

Thanked: 237That's a stunner. I can't wait for my d01 two band knot to show up.

T'is indeed a beauty. Makes me almost wish the D0-1 two band I have on order had a fancy handle like that, but I went with faux ivory. Mine will have a 24mm knot and a 48mm loft IIRC. Hoping for some scritch ........
How long from the time you ordered until it showed at your door ?Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Thanked: 38I ordered a custom D01 2band 22x46 fan sent to me a year or so ago. It is a very very dense brush. I make a mess every time I use it. The flow through is great, and that is it's problem. It doesn't hold water or lather, it is squeezed out and runs down the brush and sits on the ledge, and often down my hand. It remains in my rotation but is far from my favorite. I think I would have been happier with the standard 2band.

Thanked: 3228Just a super looking brush Jamie. I was reading about the buy Avnish put together and agree that he did a very good job of it. I'll say one thing about Shavemac knots and that is they can become addicting. Enjoy it.

Jimmy I recieved the Shavemac postal conformation Friday the 7th from Bernd German post then UK Royal Mail the brush arrived at my door today the 12th, very quick when you consider weekends don't count in the UK so 5 days, not sure how long it will stay with USPS I know they always hold post I send way to long when it lands in the USA.

Thanked: 38The very first use, I thought the knot was tied with hay. Very rough. It softened quickly, and by 20 shaves it was broken in. Perhaps the 22mm knot is too small for such a dense knot. It has close to 100 uses by now. I just can't find it's sweet spot. Lather too dry, we all know what that's like. A little wetter and it runs off the outside of the brush. Just it's nature I suppose. I can live with it... 7
