    Spectacular work!
Looks to be way more than we both imagined when we started this.
I can't wait so see it in person and whip up the first lather!
    Thanks so much Andrew!!

No problem Pete. Glad to see that Cocobolo on the lathe finally. I've had the 2 blanks for over a year now and they've been begging me to turn them. Just like Richard said, one of the best looking woods out there. It's hard not to like this stuff.

I fell in love with cocobolo wood years ago. The weight, density, durability and richness of this wood is second to none, never mind it's stunning looks. The way you matched the opposing grain on the top and bottom halves is unbelievable and true testament to your exceptional craftsmanship.
I've been waiting a long, long time for the right one, and this was well worth it!
    That brush just plain rocks!!

How was the antler and bone for turning. They are quite abrasive and I wonder how your chisels stood up. I look forward to seeing more antler projects in your lathe, perhaps some horn?

The horn wasn't an issue at all. I did notice that it dulled my skew and gouge a bit, but not enough that I needed to hit them on the grinder again. Trustone is far, far worse on the tools.
