Well, the knot is at the mercy of the taper going down a good bit, minus some sidewall strength.
The knot will need to be sunk some?
Going by your thumb there, I think a 20mm knot?

Unless you have huge hands, of course! :)

You could make a 'barrel' to go on top of this and make a larger and cooler brush?

It will be awhile, save for knots and I don't have a Chuck right now. So no way to secure to anything for drilling the knot hole far as I know.
The grain is super cool on the first one. It changes color in the light. My pics don't do that one any justice. Thanks Mike.

My old shop teacher and friend told me to CA them. I'm afraid of the CA cracking or crazing over time. Eventually I'd like to sell some here and there and would hate a return. Thanks :)

A couple more fun ones, this is just relaxing. Not much to think about just chill and spin. The first picture is my favorite so far. Second pic is a bit longer handled brush, inspired by Sharpton. So, I couldnt take pictures because I about lost my mind, but I was about to finish one of these walnut handles to send to a guy for an opinion and my gouge caught and tore out a chunk. I actually stood at my lathe in disbelief. Doubt it's repairable so I imagine I'll be turning a duplicate.
