    Default Osage Orange ?

Does anyone here use Osage Orange (Hedge) for brush handles? I have several nice cut offs from my duck call turning days that I could use. Thanks.

I have not used it but think it would work fine.

I thought the only thing Osage orange was good for was archery bows....

Can you post one of your duck calls? I would like to see how it looked finished.
No experience making brush handles, but hopefully being a hard durable wood it will do the job.

I used Osage a few years ago to make pistol grips for my sons pistol. Also made some scales for my uncle's knife. Can't see why it wouldn't work for brush handles............

Excellent wood for brush handles. It has natural oils that will help against moisture. Very hard stuff too.

I would like to see them again too to see how they are holding up but my son got rid of that gun a couple years ago, he did like the grips though..........
