And not to hijack, but I'd like to hear from either of you about stacking pieces for turning, which is on my radar to try. Andrew-I remember you saying something to me about it on Instagram. I guess I just need to talk myself through it before I try it. So obviously you have to have your pieces totally square. I think I remember you saying to drill a 5/8" hole and epoxy everything together with a dowel so they don't come apart on the lathe? Is that right? Please correct me if I am wrong, as I want to try this with some expensive tropical hardwoods, and don't want to screw my 1st one up.

I'll put together a post with pictures and details on how I do it. It'll just be easier than explaining through text.
