Thanked: 375So I started using the Bloodwood w/ copper brush this week. It's length is perfect with my Georgetown G5 scuttle (Wife got it for me for Christmas). No Lather on the hands which means no lather on the handles of my straight or DE, goal accomplished. Also, I scored a 1950's wood lathe over the holiday, from a local barber. I took my son into get his hair cut, and the Barber and I always start talking about our purchases and I showed him a pic of the brushes I made. I turned these on my father in-laws JET lathe you see, and I was telling the Barber that I was saving up to get my own lathe. He said I have one so for $50 I bought a nice vintage lathe that I can spin some more brush handles on, at my convenince. Merry Christmas to me

I have a spalted maple brush handle that Jason/jballs made for me, I put in a brush from the golden nib and that thing is fantastic! I thought the handle a bit long but it turns out that I actually prefer it.
