Loose Brush Handle Advice Needed
I recently got a brush so I could replace the knot, but after removing the old knot I noticed that there is alittle bit of wiggle in where the handle sits in the vulcanized rubber cap that the knot sits in. I was wondering what would be the best way to remove the cap without damaging it or if this is even possible. I suppose if I need to I could just leave it the way it is and fix it if the handle comes out. I am not sure if they used the same type of glue on the handle as the knot. I was able to just pull the knot out by hand. I know some knots will come out in boiling water and if the handle is held in with the same type of glue that might work, but I'm not sure if the boiling water would harm the vulcanized rubber. This is the brush. No clue as the maker.

The rubber was probably softened by heat and then molded on as it cooled. I imagine any heat if high enough would soften it up again.

Hmm well I think I will just leave it as is and worry about it if the handle comes out. The wiggle really isn't noticeable unless you are looking really close.
