    Default started 3 brushes 2day

been wanting to start a deer antler brush for awhile now , so today i went in the attic and grabbed a rack and started cutting ..
for size comparison far left is a Wee Scott , far right is a Thater 4411
not sure on knot sizes or knot material yet but i dont have a silvertip yet so that will be one of them ,but im thinking silver , black , and best badger .... it will be a few weeks before there finished but you guys can get an idea of the start !

Since you brought this up we expect a complete set of photos at each stage in the process so we can follow along.

they are hard as far as hardness , i imagine with a bandsaw it would of been easier .. i used a saws-all and put the antler in a vise , cut them as even as i could and sanded them on the belt/disk sander combo , i drilled one already , i dont have a vise for my drill press so i drilled a pilot hole then put it back in the vise and finished hole with a speedbore bit in a hand drill using a level on it to get the size i needed .. VERY hard to drill with the speed bore but came out good ... i think being so hard gives me the advantage of being able to use the vise without damage but not having the right tools makes things more harder ... if you can get past the smell your good to go ...!!! lol
