    I'm not going to get mine from Ebay, I like saving them from the dusty shelves of antique stores.

    If you have used the clear before, and it doesn't expand that will work well.

    Otherwise I would go with a clear two part epoxy. That's what I used. Seal the socket area up with it, but dont let it squish out onto the hair knot.
    My thoughts exactly. I've had some problems with pens cracking when I use gorilla glue, so I'm probably going back to CA or I may go to epoxy. I do use a clear two-part epoxy for bedding knots in handles.
