    the extra weight could have some interesting effects on both lathering and applying. about like a stone handle, I suppose. how's it in use?

    Very cool project!
    Did you mix anything in the cement to make it non porous? some sort of epoxy or waterproofing agent?
    I think it is a very interesting thing you did. The thing I would is -if you did not waterproof it- if the brush handle and thus the base of the knot would retain water and perhaps be suceptible to hair loss or fungul growth.

    Soak it in Thompsons waterseal,would work well
