Default My first post, and my first custom brush.

I've been lurking in the shadows here for a few years. I decided to register. I've been using the drugstore VDH brushes for years, and decided it was time to splurge on some badger. So many choices, and so expensive...and that's before you even get out of the plastic handles. After some research here, I decided to create my own brush.

I was inspired by one I saw on here a few days ago. I've been a mechanic by trade my whole life, so it really fit my personality. With a nice silvertip knot from TGN, and tools I already had, my wallet hardly felt it, and I've got a great custom brush!

I'm still deciding if I want to make a normal cradle stand for it, or if I want to have it snap on to a socket extension or universal.

Next I plan on making my own razor scales, either with aluminum or an exotic wood. I've heard some negative things about metal scales ruining the balance of the razor, but I think aluminum may be light enough. Worth a try anyway.

The mug was my great grand fathers

Nice Job! Glad you finally decided to register. Looks like you could change the socket out if you wanted. You could try a different grade of badger, horse or boar hair, sweet!
