Another beautifull brush, well done!
Yeah but the picture is really tiny !
You keep tempting my with your brushes. I don't have a brush collection.....yet!!
What is so special about it as compared to other bone?
Not entirely true-
"Sea cow" is the common name for the Order Sirenia, which includes manatees and dugongs, which are still around, along with a recently extinct member (can't remember the specific name) along with a bunch of extinct relatives. The extinct members are known only from their fossils, so I am assuming this is fossilized bone from one of the extinct varieties?
Correct, the fossil bone comes from the arctic, the 22k lb animals are long extinct.
