    Default 22.22 mm opening

I have a absolute beautiful vintage handle that i just removed the knot from.. The opening is about 7/8 of an inch or round about 22.22mm I'm looking at the premium silvertip from golden nib which is exactly 22mm will it fit or am I gonna have to make the whole bigger..or can I gimme a round about idea which mm silvertip will fit.. Golden nib says on there 22mm silvertip to go 2 mm larger on the handle size. So,if I get a 20 mm it will fit my 22 mm handle this is on there premium silvertip knots?

Depends on your loft setting,a 22 may fit perfect but if you go with a low loft you also have to compress the hair as it go's into the bore.
    If a low loft,say 48mm, I would use a 20.JMO

Nice job Copper. I like the way the blacks and whites look in layers.

Your going to have a big brush collection me thinks

Looks great, people that make or restore brushes (is really easy stuff to do) need to realize that the bore hole size depends on the loft setting.
You want I high loft? say in the sixtys a 20mm knot will fit a 20mm bore to a point.you go lower you need to open the bore up sometimes a couple MMs,you need to at that point compress the hair also.sure, you can cram the knot all the way down, but you need to make room for the knot to bloom at lower settings.
