More of an upgrade than a new creation
I had worked these pieces of antler a whlie ago, and was going to leave them as they were and use a Lee Valley knot, I hadn't heard of TGN at the time. But they seemed lacking something so I put them on the shelf to deal with at a later date.
I finally got to them now, I went with a 22mm silvertip fan at 55mm for the larger one, and a 20mm super silvertip at 60mm for the smaller. The base were each given a cocobolo cap and sealed with poly.
I've only had a chance to use the SS so far, it lathers like a dream, and it just feels right in the hand.
