    Default Something differant

I salvage Real ivory from many sources for my projects.
I had this anciant, cracked Mah Jong tile, made a simple cocobolo handle and used it for a top cap, left the the orig. Characters in place.
Looks sort of trick I think

Nice repurposed piece! Looks like it will turn out to be a beautiful brush when your finished.
I shave because I want to, not because I have to!

That looks really nice - I like the smooth transition between the materials. In this first picture, the hole into which the knot is set looks really deep - did you use some sort of a spacer in the hole or is it just hard to tell the true depth from the picture?

Thanks - and again, really cool.

That may well be one of the prettiest brushes I have seen. Good job!

How did you decide on the grip?

Was a pce of Coco re-purposed from another project (leather burnisher) I plugged it.
Deciding on grip shape is sort of whatever comes to mind

It came out great, the ivory really helps set off the brush!
