My Mom collects old bakelite jewelry, and mostly amber coloured bracelets and necklaces. I've also seen lots of the same at antique stores in my travels. When I first saw this material at Masecraft, I immediately thought it would make a good amber bakelite look a like.
Well I was right. I'm really happy with the way this came out, the colors through out the handle are fantastic and make it look old. Now I'm debating about taking steel wool to it to dull the finish and make it look even more vintage.
