November 2019 Giveaway
These monthly Giveaways only happen with the Donations from our fine members, so if you have any items you would like to donate, (S.R., DE’s, SE’s, Soaps, brushes, ETC…) PM me for my address.
All items are logged onto a spreadsheet and accounted for as it is donated and used, so nothing is missed. I have also recruited Outback/Mike to help me in the repairs of any items that need attention. So don’t worry about sending something that isn’t in perfect condition. At this time we could use soap and brushes most of all but anything helps. So dig through that drawer and donate those items you haven’t used in years.
Any and all shaving items would be greatly appreciated.
\\ PLEASE READ BEFORE POSTING TO THE GIVEAWAY //
To promote more forum participation by the members, we have made a few small rules for the giveaway:
In order to be eligible to win, you must have made four forum posts "on four separate days" between the ending of the previous raffle and the drawing of the current one.
These posts can be in the same thread on four separate days or you can post in several threads on four separate days. One of these four can be your post to the Giveaway thread but must be on a separate day then the other three. However, only one post will count in the Giveaway thread as part of your four. For example, if you have only a total of four posts with two of them posted in the Giveaway thread, one by accident, I will delete the last post in the Giveaway thread because you are only allowed one post there which will leave you with only three total posts. If you post only 4 times and two posts are on the same day, you will not be eligible.
It doesn't matter where your raffle entry falls among these posts; all we ask is that you post a few times in the course of the one month period before the closing of the current giveaway.
The above process needs to be repeated for each monthly Giveaway.
This giveaway will last for approximately fifteen days finishing “around the middle of the month”. Finishing date/last day to enter will be posted at the end of the rules.
When you sign in your post number will be your raffle number and from that number, the winners will be chosen.
These giveaways are for ALL SRP MEMBERS regardless of how long they have been members as long as the rules above are followed.
I would ask that when you sign in you say something like "sign me up please" or “I’m in” or something along those lines, along with any comments you care to make, otherwise, I will not know if you are signing up or just making a comment. If you have already signed up please do not post again as that will take up another post number. Please, if you are not signing up do not make any comment posts as this will also take up another post number. I will be checking on double posts and will PM you if you have made one and the last one will be deleted. On the day after the closing, I will notify the winners and get their address, post the winner’s names in a new thread and mail out the prizes ASAP.
GOOD LUCK TO ALL OF YOU!!!
Starting with this post the SRP GIVEAWAY will now start, and Finish on...
Nov. 19th 2019 at Midnight MST.
Because of last months second prize winner being generous enough to donate his winnings back to us, we have two special giveaway groups this month. The 2nd and 3rd prize groups!
First prize:
1. A FW Engels, Leader Straight Razor, 13/16 in size and orange scales. Shave Ready! A very nice looking razor. This would be a great one to have in your collection.
2. A puck of Williams’s soap.
3. A Body Shop Shave brush with a black synthetic knot.
All these items were donated by Anonymous members.
Second Prize:
Our second prize winner last month was Bouschie and he donated these items back to us. I think this is a great little razor to have in your collection as it is in pristine condition and not something everyone has.
The Merkur Klinge Moustache & Eyebrow razor, w/ a 10 pack of blades.
Originally donated by an anonymous member.
Third Prize:
Because of Bouschie/Leonards generosity to our forum, I put together a group of items that all came from his donations. These items are not in new condition, but in a great condition for someone new to S.R. shaving to get a good start in learning this age old way of wet shaving.
1. An Early to Mid 1800’s J. Bingham, Criterion, 11/16 in size, Double Thumb notched, stub tail Straight razor honed by Bouschie. A vintage piece of history!
2. An Illinois 8449, Horse Hide strop w/ new linen secondary component.
3. An Ever-Ready N500 shave brush w/ new badger knot.
4. A stick of Arko Shave Soap.
Good luck to all! It's just Sharpening, right?

Wow, okay-I'll be the 1st to lay down a marker on this one. I actually like Leonard's 3rd place package best. Thanks Leonard, all the other donors, and you Jerry for taking charge of the Giveaways!
