Just finished Finest Hour by Michael J. Tougias, which is the basis for a movie coming out at the end of January. It is the true story of a Coast Guard rescue off the coast of New England that was so miraculous it almost defies description. The book is short and fast moving. I always read books before I see movies which always take license with the facts to make things more visually interesting.

Thanked: 19Been on a Bolaņo kick lately, so much so I actually decided to teach a section on "Antwerp" this fall. Aside from that, just finished Hemingway's "A Farewell to Arms" for the nth time and moved on to Lu Xun's "Call to Arms/Wandering".
