I would say it goes with out saying, that if you can download any title you want without leaving the house, or trawling through loads of second hand shops etc then why would a lot of people go to the effort. I do buy secondhand books, and my wife would not consider an e reader, she loves thr smell of books.
My mother in law in the other hand who has a very bad back uses an e reader all the time.
