brings back memories, i remember watching his show on pbs.

ill never forget watching him cook with wine, or was that him getting cooked on the wine instead of cooking with it.

I seem to recall him drinking about a jug of wine while prepping and cooking and being about half in the bag before he sat down to eat.

I remember one time I was telling other kids on the school bus how this one woods was great for squirrel hunting. They didn't believe me and i agreed to show them. I said that i would let them walk ahead and get first chance. They went stomping ahead scarring the squirrels and I hung back waiting for the squirrels to come around to the back side of the tree. I got 10 or so and they got one! They never did figure out what I was doing.

I miss him!! We have two or one of his cookbooks and I smile every time I see one of them.
