I LOVED the pizza from Pizza Junction in New York near Buffalo.
They closed down but Bozanna's took over from them. Not AS GOOD but it was still my favorite that was still available.
Now they too have closed so I am without a "Favorite" at this point and time....
(like my gssixgun reference)?

Thanked: 20If in fact you want great Pizza and you happen to be in central Washington State, You have to try Chico's Pizza in Moses Lake. It is one of the few things that make life worth while here. I read somewhere that it was actually given 5 stars. the Pizza is loaded with toppings, and will leave a great deal of grease/oil on the pie plate, But OMG is it good. If you real like pizza, and consider yourself a Pizza connoisseur, then you owe it to yourself to try it.

Funny list. I remember going to San Diego back in the 70s and bought a pizza and it was made with synthetic cheese.
if you like thin pizza it's NYC and if you like thick it's Chicago. Everything else? Well it's like folks in this part of N.M thinking they have the best Mexican food in the world and they haven't a clue.No matter how many men you kill you can't kill your successor-Emperor Nero

Thanked: 1195I can't say that I've had pizza in the US, but ironically one of the best pizza joints in Edmonton is called Chicago Deep Dish.

Thin crust, pan, and deep dish. No matter what part of town you live, you can always find great pizza. It wasn't till I moved away that I found this to be true. Everytime I visit friends I make sure pizza is on the menu.

Rock on! I work in Kennesaw and live in Powder Springs!
Back on topic, the best pizza I've ever had was when I was around 10 years old. The Boy Scout troop I was a part of took a trip to CNN Center in Atlanta, and during our time there stopped in at the food court. I can't tell you the name of the place exactly, I just know it had "NY Style Pizza" in the name. Unfortunately, it's no longer there, but I always seem to compare every new pizza place I try to this memory.
Similarly, if you like calzones, which is truly nothing more than an inside out pizza when you think about it, Ippolito's in the Metro Atlanta area takes the cake for me..."Willpower and Dedication are good words," Roland remarked, "There's a bad one, though, that means the same thing. That one is Obsession." -Roland Deschain of Gilead
