Thread: An Act of Rebellion!

My mother backed me up one time against the Vice Principle of my junior high

The Senior high got out 30 minutes later than we did so we had to wait 45 minutes for the bus to come. Being bored and with a big hill behind the school 7 or 8 of us decided to have a contest to see who could make a paper airplane fly the farthest off the hill into the parking lot. We thought that was fun and decide to remodel our planes and try again. After a couple of days we got cornered by the VP. He hauled us into his office and reamed us out about how bad we were. He even accused us of littering but we all had our "secret designs" in our pockets ready to redesign them for the next days challenge to show him. At the end he told us to have our parents write him a note to let him know they knew what we were doing.

The next day all the other boys brought a note from their parents saying that they knew what we were doing and little Johnny will never do it again.

My Mother wrote about a 3 page letter. I don't remember all the details as it has been about 40 years ago but the line that sticks in my mind is that we should be happy he is doing this and not smoking dope in the bathroom!

He hemmed and hawed and back peddled from that letter and it was the end of it.

My Mother is a wonderful woman!
